After a little encouragement from Jim Miller, a myriad of couples swept across the dance floor Wednesday, March 27, at the Palm Coast Veterans of Foreign War.

The hopping weeknight event was a different look from the club's usual line dance and trivia night. Miller's Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, a 16-piece orchestra, played music from then and now and also featured vocalist Linda Gill.

More than 225 people attended. Donations to support the VFW were taken at the door, and the band donated their time for the event.

“At the VFW, our mission is to reach out to the community,” said event organizer Bob Beck. “It’s not just a gathering place. It’s our pleasure to be able to do something like this.”
