Jacksonville woman killed in crash on I-95 in Palm Coast

The woman, Deborah Perfetto, rear-ended a tractor trailer that was stopped in the center lane.

A 60-year-old Jacksonville woman died March 12 in a traffic crash on Interstate 95 in Palm Coast near the Palm Coast Parkway exit.

The crash occurred at approximately 6:16 p.m.

The woman, Deborah Perfetto, was driving northbound in a 2013 Toyota Tacoma when she struck the rear side of a 2007 Peterbilt tractor trailer that had run out of fuel and was stopped in the center lane of the road, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release. 

Perfetto died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the tractor trailer, a resident of North Carolina, was not injured.
