Flagler County Police Athletic League participants Isaiah Jack, an 11-year-old sixth grader at Bunnell Elementary; and Jimmy Brittian, a 10-year-old fifth grader at Old Kings Elementary, won the Florida State PAL Boxing championship on Sunday Nov. 8, 2020.

Both boys are participants in the community partnership between the Flagler County Police Athletic League and Lions’ Pride Boxing, established in 2019.

Lions’ Pride Boxing is located at Marvin’s Garden, 4601 E. Moody Blvd., in Bunnell, and vowed to help “box out crime” by helping kids deal with displaced anger, improve self confidence, and learn the fundamentals of boxing. Lions' Pride Boxing coach Rick has helped several kids acquire several amateur belts in the program's short existence.
