The Flagler Humane Society's sixth-annual Spay-ghetti Dinner, held Feb. 19, at the VFW, was a time to recognize those who have contributed to the cause.

One of the highlights of the evening was a spirited live auction. The prize was the right to have your pet featured on the 2012 Humane Society calendar cover. The winning bid was $1,000.

In addition, Jacki and Brian Unger were recognized as diamond-level sponsors, having donated more than $2,000.

Don and Debby Heath were silver sponsors, at $500 or more.

Sandy and Charlie Strong, Flagler County Insurance, Barb and Fred Pottle, Kathy and Jeff Lynn, Cline Construction and Bug Guard were bronze sponsors, at $250 or more.

Honorary chairs, at $100, were Adams Rehab Solutions, Gordon and Jean Maskell, Cheryl Pannone, Jeanne and Cary Honganen, Log Cabin Winery, Joan Frankel, Debby Heath and Barb and Fred Pottle.

The Humane Society Board of Directors comprises Amy Beilman, president; Yvonne Presley, vice president; Lewis Beilman, treasurer; Thomas B. McKean, secretary; Dave Zaslavsky, Dr. Robert G. Tate and Susan Kamberalis.

The Spay-ghetti Dinner Committee was chaired by Jacki Unger and Emilie Villarejos, with the committee being rounded out by Susan Kamberalis, Shirley Hartman, Marti Hinman, Amy Beilman and Jef Hale.
