A houseguest in the F-section of Palm Coast said things weren’t working out. According to the events described in a report from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, that could be an understatement.

Ciara Christina Librera Seymour, 19, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (her car) when, according to a witness, she attempted to use her black Mitsubishi Eclipse to drive over her host, Debbie Lynn Branam.

Deputies responded to the disturbance the night of Oct. 6. They learned that Seymour had been staying with Branam, on Ferdinand Drive, for a week before she was asked to move out.

Branam stated that Seymour tried to run her over, and that she was afraid for her life.

A neighbor and independent witness, concurred that Seymour drove over the lawn lighting and almost struck Branam with the vehicle. Branam had to jump out of the way, and she dropped a piece of “shelving furniture,” which she was carrying.

Seymour’s explanation was that she pulled up in front of the residence with her friends to remove her furniture from Branam’s house. Then, according to Seymour, Branam walked up to her vehicle with a piece of wood and started to strike the vehicle. Seymour drove onto the lawn in an attempt to get away.

Seymour was placed under arrest and also charged with criminal mischief of less than $200, a misdemeanor, in addition to the felony of aggravated assault.
