Hollingsworth Gallery will host work from a variety of international artists in October, with an opening reception 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suites 209B and 210B.

The most notable piece of art to be shown is a textile piece by Else Mögelin, an original member of the Bauhaus art movement, in Germany.

“It’s not something you would expect to see,” said Curator J.J. Graham. “I like to show art that has history. It was a very important movement in art history.”

Other international artists that will be shown are Russian artists Olga Velikaya, Vera Shtill and Vadim Startsev.

Although the focus of this untitled show is international works, there will also be pieces from local favorites such as Linda Solomon, Henry Messersmith and Graham.

Graham said that while discovering the type of work that sells to his collectors, he also wants to keep gallery patrons on their toes.

“Just when people think they have me figured out, I will surprise them,” he said.
