Flagler Beach Annual Easter Egg Hunt

When: 8:30 a.m., Saturday, April 15

Where: Flagler Beach, just north of the Flagler Pier 

Details: This year marks the 25th year of this favorite community event, and the fifth year of its sponsorship by Joseph Pozzuoli Architect. The egg hunt will be held on the beach, just north of the Flagler Pier. The event is for children 2 to 12. In addition to the eggs with candy and prizes (including special Easter gift baskets and gift certificates for treats donated by local businesses), there will also be face painting and an Easter Bunny for family photos.

Art Show at Hammock Dunes Creek Course Clubhouse

When: 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 13

Where: 18 Creek Course Drive

Details: Local artists have donated original art work for purchase through the George Washington Carver Foundation's annual auction. This show allows the public to preview the art personally in the beautiful Creek Course Setting. Come and place your bid on all types of art, jewelry and other valuable pieces. At the exhibit, each artist displaying a piece will have established a minimum bid. Anything over the minimum bid would be donated to the Carver Foundation.Bids will be accepted on the spot, at the live exhibit, and also on the Carver online auction, April 5 to April 27. The event includes a cheese and fruit platter and a cash bar.

2nd Annual Arts & Crafts in the Park

When: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 15

Where: Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, screened pavilion; 3501 Old Kings Rd S., Flagler Beach

Details: Join us for some family friendly springtime fun in a historic and beautiful setting. Activities include storytime with children’s author Allison Morris Zacharias (11:30 a.m.), all-ages art workshop with local artist and instructor Trish Vevera (10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.) and an Easter Egg Hunt which starts at 12 noon (bring your own basket). We invite all ages to come paint, sketch, craft and create in the most beautiful and inspirational setting you’ll ever find. Snacks and refreshments will be available.

Cost: Fee is $4 per vehicle (limit 8 per vehicle); $2 for pedestrians, bicyclists or extra passengers in vehicle. Please bring exact change.

Special program by the Genealogy Society of Flagler County

When: 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 19

Where: Flagler County Public Library, 2500 Palm Coast Pkwy NW

Details: Ann Staley CG, CGL, will present "Shore to Shore, 20th Century Immigration Research, including a four-step research strategy and more.
