At yesterday’s county budget session, Monday, Aug. 8, Enterprise Flagler co-president David Ottati presented a restructuring plan for his organization that was voted down by the board 3-2.
Commissioner George Hanns supported the proposal, suggesting that new doesn’t always mean better. He also indicted naysayers, stating that passive negativity gets us nowhere.
“Every single time we’ve had something that has tried to create economic development, there are those who complain constantly,” he said. “It (doesn’t) matter who’s in there, people are going to take potshots … Some people are not happy unless they’re mad.”
He then challenged the public to become active in the discussion.
