With golf carts and outfits decked out in pink, the Hammock Beach Ladies Golf Association will host its fourth-annual "Play for Pink" fundraiser at The Club at Hammock Beach on Wednesday, Oct. 10. The event consists of golf, luncheon and silent auction.

In the last three years, the HBLGA has raised $82,658 for breast cancer awareness, according to a new release.

The association is seeking hole sponsors to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer. Donations start at $125. Company logos are visible at each hole and predominantly displayed in the dining room to be viewed by all members and guests.

Even though checks are made out to Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, the association's fundraiser is under the umbrella of the American Cancer Society. Although most of the money remains local, it also goes wherever it is most needed. One current need at the moment is “The Road to Recovery.”

To get involved, call event chairwoman call Janet Kivi at 678-923-5135.
