A team of medical professionals from Haiti visited Florida Hospital Flagler Friday, April 22, for a tour as a part of the Rotary International Group Study Exchange, a cultural and vocational exchange opportunity for businesspeople and professionals between 25 and 40 years old.

During their visits, team members experience the host country’s culture and institutions, observe how their vocations are practiced abroad, develop personal and professional relationships and exchange ideas.

Palm Coast is the third stop on their tour, which began April 16, in Palatka, and will end May 14, in Jacksonville.

The visited consisted of a tour of the hospital, lunch with Florida Hospital Foundation Director John Subers and dinner at the home of Dr. Jane Walter. Then, a luncheon was hosted Saturday by Ernest and Evlyne Voyard; Mary Stetler hosted an Easter Sunday brunch.

The Voyards and Stetler, along with Lawrene and Bill Bishop, Karen Merrill and Linda Simon Aurora hosted individual team members in their homes.

The visit was sponsored by the Palm Coast Rotary Club.
