Says Amelia Fulmer, Auditorium director, “The Auditorium has presented many legendary headliners, but few are more accomplished than Darlene Love. This show arrives with accomplished singers and instrumentalists. We have been busy getting everything prepared. With Darlene Love, Christmas is special, so she requires special preparation, from extra sound equipment to chimes, bells and stage snow. We are the only venue in North Florida hosting Darlene Love so we are really excited about having a holiday artist in Palm Coast.”

With a career spanning decades, her most recent appearance was on the record-setting hit Netflix movie, “Christmas Chronicles 2.” For 29 years, she also starred in special Christmas programs on “Late Night with David Letterman.” Her appearance in the Oscar-winning film “20 Feet from Stardom” put her on the international entertainment stage and also earned her a Grammy Award for Best Film Music. She portrayed herself in the Tony Award-nominated “Leader of the Pack” and also starred in Broadway’s “Hairspray” and “Grease.” She was featured in all four movies in the “Lethal Weapon” franchise.

Her hits are legion, including “He’s a Rebel,” “He’s Sure the Boy I Love,” “I’ve Never Been the Same,” and “All Alone at Christmas,” featured on the film “Home Alone 2.” As a member of the famed girl group The Blossoms, she sang with Frank Sinatra, The Ronettes, Johnny Rivers, and also with Elvis Presley on his legendary “’68 Comeback Special.” As a soloist she has sung with many famed singers including Bruce Springsteen, Bette Midler, Patti LaBelle and Bryan Adams.

Love has appeared on “Saturday Night Live,” PBS’s “Concert of Love,” and the Netflix original movie “Holiday Rush.”  She was also honored with the Rhythm & Blues Foundation’s Pioneer Award.

Speaking at Love’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, the legendary Bette Midler said, “She changed my view of the world. Listening to her songs, you had to dance, you had to move, you had to keep looking for the rebel boy.”

Flagler Auditorium is a nonprofit organization committed to the arts in the community and the Flagler Schools. The Auditorium employs state-of-the-art circulating clean air system utilizing Global Plasma Technology.
