Giving Store gives back at Christmas

For 19 years, The Giving Store has been supplying K-5 children with the means to buy gifts for their family members. Last year the store supplied about 3,000 gifts to about 500 children. “The point is for the child to experience the joy of giving to others,” volunteer Sherry Calderaro said.

Registration for the store is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. nov. 20, noon to 4 p.m. nov. 26, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 27, at the Government Services building. Children do not need to be present for registration. Call 597-2950.
