Girl, 6, injured in crash between go-cart and dirt bike

The girl was airlifted to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, in Orlando.

A crash between a go-cart operated by a 6-year-old girl and a dirt bike operated by a 28-year-old man left the girl with serious injuries on March 25, according to a news release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at about 5:20 p.m. on Cheryl Elaine Drive, a residential street that reaches south from County Road 2006 near the Bull Creek Fish Camp in Bunnell.

The dirt bike struck the 6-year-old's go-cart after the girl turned the go-cart into the dirt bike's path near Cheryl Elaine Drive's intersection with Leissa Court, according to the news release.

The injured girl was taken to the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, in Orlando, by air ambulance, according to the news release.
