The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free agent wide receiver Mardy Gilyard, according to Gilyard’s Twitter account.

At 7:14 p.m. Friday, Gilyard tweeted: It’s official!!!! I am a Kansas City Chief.”

Gilyard, a 2005, graduate of Flagler Palm Coast High School, was the 99th overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. He played in just 11 games for the Rams in 2010 and finished his rookie season with six catches for 63 yards.

After being cut by the Rams, Gilyard has been signed by the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles, being cut twice by both teams.

Gilyard is now reunited with Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who was the Eagles coach for the last 14 seasons.
