Rick Fraser, of the Center for Business Excellence, and Bruce Page, of Intracoastal Bank and a longtime member of the local United Way Board of Directors, were awarded the President’s Call to Service Award from the United Way of Volusia and Flagler Counties.

This is the highest national honor offered in recognition of a lifetime of volunteer service.

The awards were presented at the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties’ Annual Board of Directors meeting, held July 25.

Page has been instrumental in the development of the Flagler Mobile Benefits Program. He is also a longtime Rotarian and supporter of other local agencies such as the Florida Hospital Flagler, the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates and currently serves as the chair for Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, University of Florida.

“Both Rick and Bruce have long histories with United Way starting as ‘loaned executive’ from their employers to help United Way during its annual campaign,” said Ray Salazar, president of United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties. “As each grew in stature to their current positions, they never forgot their first positive experience with United Way and have given of their time, talent and resources ever since. This community is blessed to have executives of this caliber committed to improving lives everyday.”

The President’s Call to Service Award was established in 2003 and modeled after the President’s Physical Fitness Award.
