As the graduation coach/teacher, the head cross country coach and head track and field coach, Dave Halliday shows Bulldog pride in and out of the classroom. He’s been at Flagler Palm Coast High School for 15 years, with 25 years total in education.

“My teaching style is one of facilitation and delegation, so that students are able to take ownership of their learning and drive their education,” Halliday said. “My ability to be real and genuine with students allows me to earn their trust and motivate them to higher successes.”

He was the youngest high school coach to ever be inducted into the Florida Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Halliday earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and master's degree from Florida State University. He credits his “diehard advocacy for everything FPC” and dedication to students for the award.

“I wouldn't be where I am today without the unwavering support of my family, especially my wife Dr. Kim Halliday,” he said.
