Former Flagler County Sheriff, now local attorney, Jim Manfre has published a book titled "Southern Storm," according to a news release. It now available on Amazon Kindle, Audiobook and paperback.

This is Manfre’s first book and tells a fictional story of FBI agent Jack Bondera’s quest to infiltrate the biggest drug-trafficking ring in the deep South, which happens to be run by the county’s local sheriff. The book paints the picture of a modern day county that operates like the Wild West.

Manfre’s life experiences and background were the inspiration to write the book. He grew up in the 1960s during a period of social change and cultural upheavals and was impressed by the strong moral voices that arose during this period — similar to the main character’s challenges of attempting to overcome a corrupt law enforcement system.

"Southern Storm" is ideal for any reader looking for a gripping, intriguing drama to entertain them.

Manfre is planning a second book, "Southern Revenge," next year.
