Flagler County is coming together for the greater good of the community.

There are a variety of drives around town to help contribute. The Ebony Society at Flagler Palm Coast High School is running a campaign in efforts to collect gently used or new blankets, throws, comforters and bedspreads for the needy in Flagler County. To donate to their “Throw on a Blanket” campaign, bring donations to room 2-120 through Friday, Dec. 10. For more information, call 437-7540, ext. 8202.

Bob Evans and the Palm Coast Elks Lodge are teaming up to collect food. Both are accepting donations of canned goods, rice, beans and baby food. All food will be given to Flagler County Community Services Resource Center, in Bunnell. To donate, bring items to the Elks Lodge, 53 Old Kings Road.

The Post Office is also getting in on the action. They have places a cart in the lobby of both the Palm Coast and Flagler Beach offices, 2 Pine Cone Drive and 300 S. Daytona Ave.
