Flagler Schools Future Problem Solvers soar at international competition

The FPCHS Reaching for Relief team earned the Grand Champion Senior Division award.

Flagler Schools' brightest competed against students from around the globe at the Future Problem Solving Program International competition held at University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on June 7 to 11. 

Bunnell Elementary grade 6 teacher Jennifer Colindres said she was overjoyed for the students she coached this past year.

"I actually cried," Colindres said. "Just to be there was a humbling experience. It just makes you so proud."

Project A.C.T.E.D. (Bunnell Elementary)

Pandemic Project (FPCHS)

1st place Senior Community Problem Solving division in the category of Environment and Human Services

The team: Aaron Carll, Jayson Dwyer, Janine Jao, Sarah Main, Michael Pierre and Zach Verdi

Project Pandemic has brought seven bat houses to the Palm Coast community in order to deter vector-borne diseases, like Zika.  They were able to donate an additional bat house to the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse.
