The Flagler Humane Society last week announced a policy change: No longer will residents be able to drop off stray animals to the shelter.
According to a city of Palm Coast press release, the city’s animal control division will now pick up all strays found in the city.
“Palm Coast residents should always keep in mind that the city is your enthusiastic partner in personally handling each animal and helping to care for frightened strays,” said Barbara Grossman, the city’s code enforcement manager. “When we work together, we can keep our domestic animals safe from harm.”
Call the city’s animal control department at 986-2520 to report a lost animal.
