Flagler Falcons fall in state semifinals

The Flagler Falcons suffered their first loss of the season Saturday in the state semifinals.

The Falcons lost to the Port St. Lucie Pirates, 28-6, Saturday, Nov. 19, in Hallendale. The Falcons are out of contention for the national championship, despite going 13-1 this season. There were 28 teams left in the nation.

Falcons quarterback Shane Riley converted a fourth-down play in the red zone, which led to a touchdown by Darrell Thomas, for the team’s only score.
