Flagler County Public Transportation will now be available on Saturdays for qualified residents, as of Oct. 1.

The Saturday service is an expansion of Flagler County’s transportation service. Flagler County Public Transportation is a door-to-door paratransit service available to Flagler residents who qualify for the program and do not have other means of transportation.

Eligibility qualifications include being a local elderly or disabled resident with low income and no other means of transportation. Application review is usually accomplished within 14 days.

Eligible passengers can request service at least one day in advance, or up to one week in advance. Reservations can be made over the phone, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by fax 24 hours a day.

As of Oct. 1, service will be available 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

For more, call 313-4100.
