Troy Caraballo

  • Branch of military:  U.S. Army (Retired)
  • Dates of service: 1981-2005
  • Rank/occupation: 1SG (First Sergeant) / Air Defense Artillery
  • Hometown: Guanica, Puerto Rico

Among his many awards, Troy Caraballo received Legion of Merit upon his retirement and the Bronze Star for his service in Iraq in support of the Global War on Terror.

Caraballo has been an Army JROTC instructor at Matanzas High School since the program’s inception almost 15 years ago.

He and his detachment actively support veterans organizations by volunteering their time, labor and skills in a variety of ways, from honor guard duties to serving meals.

You probably have seen him leading and working with the cadets at countless events in Flagler County over the years.

Caraballo is committed to mentoring and graduating quality young men and women from the Matanzas HS JROTC program.
