Bill May

  • Branch of military: U.S. Army (Retired)
  • Dates of Service: 1967-1988
  • Rank / Occupation: Lt Colonel / Rotary Wing Aviator
  • Hometown: Clarksburg, West Virginia

Bill May is a decorated Vietnam War veteran helicopter pilot, who received the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star among other awards.

He and his wife, Edith, have been married 54 years. He enjoys fishing and wild bird hunting.

May is the current commander of the local Disabled American Veterans Chapter 86. He is dedicated to helping veterans, and encourages others to do the same. Contact DAV 86 about joining or becoming a volunteer driver to take veterans to VA appointments, 386-439-2122.
