Flagler County under tornado warning until 10:45 a.m. April 7

Rotation has been detected by radar on a storm that is moving at 45 mph from Putnam County to Flagler County.

UPDATE: 10:20 a.m. April 7: A tornado warning has been reissued for Flagler County and is due to expire at 10:45 a.m. Officials are advising people to take shelter in an interior room on the bottom floor of a sturdy building, and to avoid windows.

A thunderstorm containing rotation was detected near Bunnell at 10:19 a.m. and was moving east at 40 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Jacksonville. It was expected to be in Palm Coast at 10:25 a.m. and in Flagler Beach at 10:35 a.m.

UPDATE: 10:15 a.m. April 7: The tornado warning has expired, but a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Flagler County until 10:45 a.m. The storm was spotted in Andalusia at 10:14 a.m. moving east at 30 mph, and is expected to bring wind gusts of up to 60 mph and penny-size hail.

It's moving at 45 mph, according to the National Weather Service, and is expected to arrive in Palm Coast and Bunnell at about 10:15 a.m.

It was first noted at 9:42 a.m. and was expected to pass Pomona Park at 9:45 a.m., Crescent City at 9:50 a.m., and Andalusia at 9:55 a.m.
