Flagler County’s Tourism Office – Palm Coast and the Flagler Beaches – won the eTourism Summit Excellence (eTSY) Award for its website www.visitflagler.com.

“Last week, our office won a highly coveted national industry award, the eTSY Award, for Best Website on a small budget,” said Tourism Director Amy Lukasik. “This labor of love is a result of all the hard work of Candi Breckenridge, who spends a tremendous amount of time and dedication to make us look so good. I am very proud of her, and the website.”

Breckenridge is marketing media manager for the Tourism Office. She has worked for the office for three years.

“It’s such an honor to win an eTSY,” Breckenridge said. “It’s really the pinnacle for destination marketing.”

The eTourism Summit Excellence Awards celebrate the best of 2019-2020 tourism promotion with awards in 11 categories covering destination campaigns focused on website content, video, email, augmented and virtual reality, website, influencers and innovative approaches.

“The quality of digital marketing in the travel and tourism industry is impressive,” said J. William Seccombe, president of Connect Travel, which owns and produces the eTourism Summit, in its news release. “Every category was highly competitive.”

Judges Monya Mandich, Global Vice President, Marketing at Expedia Group Media Solutions; Brian Matson, Senior Director of Strategy and Education at TwoSix Digital; and, Matt Stiker, Founder of Capital M Marketing considered budget as well as three key criteria: strategy and objective; creativity; and, impact and measurability.

“This year showcased the versatility and creativity required to execute remarkable online campaigns during an extremely challenging time,” Matson said. “It’s great to see that so many DMOs (Destination Marketing Organizations) innovated in ways that serve to inspire and elevate the marketing efforts of the entire community.”
