A potential buyer placed an $807,000 bid July 8 on the vacant Flagler Sheriff's Operations Center property, which has been evacuated since June 2018 due to mold, according to a county staff document.

The county decided earlier this year to sell the former Operations Center building at 901 E. Moody Blvd. and build a new, replacement Operations Center on Commerce Parkway near the county's Emergency Operations Center.

It held an open house on the former Operations Center property on June 25.

Only one company — GPR1 LLC, which lists a mailing address in Ormond Beach and a registered agent who lives in Flagler Beach — submitted a bid, along with a check for 40,350 for the non-refundable 5% bid deposit, according to the county staff document.

The Flagler County Commission is expected to vote during a 9 a.m., July 13 commission meeting on whether to accept the bid.

County staff is recommending that the commission accept the bid and complete the sale, according to the staff document.
