The Flagler Beach City Commission will hold a special meeting with the city’s parking committee at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 30, to discuss options for beach parking.

The committee will present four options for the future of beach parking in Flagler Beach: Leaving parking as it is; creating a parking plan with enforced time limits in some places but no paid parking; adding paid parking by kiosk in city lots but keeping on-street parking free; adding paid parking by kiosk in city lots and along some city streets.

The committee is recommending the fourth option: paid parking it city lots — except two proposed new ones on South Flagler Avenue, which woudl be free — and paid parking along city streets, including Oceanshore Boulevard.
