Flagler Beach City Commissioner Kim Carney enters County Commission race, challenging incumbent David Sullivan

Carney was elected to the Flagler Beach City Commission in 2011. Sullivan was elected to the County Commission in 2016.

Flagler Beach City Commissioner Kim Carney has filed to run for the Flagler County Commission District 3 seat held by Commissioner David Sullivan. 

"I'm here at the Supervisor of Elections Office and have just completed paperwork for County Commissioner District 3," Carney said in a 12-second video posted publicly on her Facebook page on Nov. 21. "Let the campaign begin."

She wrote in a Facebook comment alongside the video, "Watch for an invite to like@ my campaign Facebook page. I am excited to represent District 3 after this upcoming campaign."

Sullivan is running for reelection. He was first elected in 2016. Carney was first elected to the Flagler Beach City Commission in 2011.
