Around 2 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 14B Buttonwood Lane in Palm Coast after receiving reports of shots being fired into the home.

The occupants of the unit told deputies that two black males came by around 10 p.m. Saturday looking for another man. The two said they were owed money. After being turned away, the men came back around 2 a.m. The residents said they saw them walking up the drive with one armed with a gun.

A female resident was outside when the two approached. She was grabbed by her hair and ordered to open the door to the residence. The male then fired several shots into the air and released the woman. The man then went to the front window and fired several rounds into the residence.

Deputies recovered seven shell casings from the driveway, front yard and porch area. It appeared another five to seven rounds were fired into the residence.

The assailants left in a newer model pickup truck.

The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. Call 313-4911 or 1-888-277-8477 with tips.
