FIRST FRIDAY: Atack, Miller win dancing at the beach

Once again, Veterans Park was overflowing with music lovers Friday, Aug, 3, for the city of Flagler Beach’s First Friday Music in the Park.

Local musician David Lane headlined the monthly event with Capt. Nick and Mason’s Rock Camp on the songwriters stage.

The event really heated up with the Stars Dancing at the Beach contest, featuring community stars and Flagler County dance instructors.

Craig Atack and Danielle Miller defeated the competition, winning first place in the dance-off. Gail Wadsworth and Russell Tannenbaum won second place, and Trey Corbett and Donna DeMeglio were close behind in third place.

The Sept. 7 First Friday event will feature the Navy jazz ensemble Orion and a Corvette cruise-in. September is also pet month and will feature pet clinics, photos and a pet parade.
