FCSO partners with Ring to create digital neighborhood watch
The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is joining forces with Ring video doorbell in order to find a new way to combat crime in Flagler County, according to a news release by the FCSO.
Ring is a company that manufactures and sells doorbells that feature HD cameras and microphones, allowing homeowners to see who comes to their front door and to communicate to them from inside the house. Homeowners can also communicate from remote locations.
The FCSO will be joining the ‘Neighbors’ app and Ring in the county to help strengthen the new “digital neighborhood watch.”
“We are always looking for new ways to get the edge on criminals,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a release. “Ring has presented us with a unique way to have even more community involvement in the fight against crime. It’s an extra set of eyes, and we hope to use this technology to solve cases and keep neighborhoods safe.”
