Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Chief of Staff Mark Strobridge graduated on May 27 from the 24th session of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Florida Executive Development Seminar, sponsored by the FBI and the Florida FBI National Academy Associates, Inc.
The seminar took place in Key West from May 23 to May 27. Law enforcement leaders from across Florida attended.
Strobridge started with the FCSO on Jan. 3, 2017, as a division chief, and later was promoted to chief of staff.
He began his career with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in 1981.
He retired from OCSO as the chief of the executive services division where he was responsible for processional standards, esearch and development, media relations, accreditation, staff inspections, facilities security, technical projects and government affairs.
As the chief of staff for FCSO, he is responsible for personnel actions, professional standards investigations, the Business Services Section and the Community Engagement and Public Affairs Office, and assists the Organizational Services Division.
“Being selected for this seminar and completing this course is a great honor and accomplishment,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “We are always looking for opportunities to enhance our team to serve the community. Chief Strobridge attending and representing the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office allows our team to learn and network with colleagues around Florida to ensure we are implementing the best law enforcement practices in Flagler County.
The FBI established FEDS as a training program designed to provide executive and management training to Florida chiefs of police, sheriffs and their command staff.
It is an intensive 40-hour course that includes classes on leadership, management, ethics and other topics of interest to Florida’s law enforcement leaders.
