Palm Coast — A Palm Coast resident was killed Friday morning after being run over by a car on Old Kings Road, according to state troopers.

Manual Estrada, 33, of Palm Coast, was lying within the roadway in the southbound travel lane of Old Kings Road, in front of Fairfield Inn and Suites, around 4 a.m. Friday, April, 22, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

According to the report, preliminary investigations indicate Estrada was in the road for unknown reasons. An alcohol test on Estrada is pending.

The Toyota Echo, driven by Jenneth Baker, 64, of Palm Coast, was traveling southbound on Old Kings Road approaching Estrada. The undercarriage of Baker’s car struck Estrada, the report states.

The investigation is ongoing.
