Victoria Ann Jordan, 21, was killed in a one-car crash Nov. 16. She was the passenger; the driver, fellow Palm Coast resident Kendall Jerel Thomas, 25, was listed in serious condition.

The crash occurred at 2:27 a.m. Nov. 16, at U.S. 1 north of Matanzas Woods Parkway. Neither Jordan nor Thomas was wearing a seatbelt.

According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, Thomas was driving a 2000 Toyota Camry southbound, when he failed to negotiate a curve due to excessive speed. The car struck several trees, causing it to overturn. Both Thomas and Jordan were ejected.

Jordan was pronounced dead on the scene; Thomas was transported to Halifax Trauma.
