Youth sports are ready to kick into full gear as the summer comes to an end. Here is a list of the youth sports registrations currently taking place.
Phantom Flag Football
Phantom Flag is back for its second season, which will take place Oct. 1 through Dec. 10. It will be a 10-week season, including a championship. This season will also be the inaugural season for Phantom Cheer.
Boys and girls ages 5 through 14 (players must be 14 years old on or before Dec. 10). Early registration takes place through Sept. 4. Online registration is currently open. Early registration costs through Sept. 4 are as follows: $75 for one player, $125 for two players and $175 for three players. Registration after Sept. 4 goes to $95 per player. Registration will close Sept. 12. Live registration will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 3, at Belle Terre Park (behind Wadsworth Elementary School). Players can also register at Pro Sports Plus (1070 Palm Coast Parkway, Suite 3) and Dominic’s Deli (160 Cypress Point Parkway, B-109).
Flagler Police Athletic League baseball
Registration for the fall 2011 season for kids ages 4 to 15, is under way. Registration takes place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, at the Flagler PAL office, 5400 E. State Road 100 (the former School Board building).
Cost is $45 until Aug. 22 and $55 after until registration closes Sept. 2. Night registration from 6-8 p.m. takes place Aug. 29 and Aug. 31. Free/reduced lunch and government assistance fees are available upon request.
The draft will take place Sept. 6 to Sept. 7, and practices start Sept. 8. Games will be played Monday through Friday, Sept. 27 to Nov. 17.
Flagler Police Athletic League basketball
Basketball registration has tentatively been set for Sept. 6 and Sept. 8, Sept. 14 and Sept. 15, and Sept. 22 and Sept. 23. The fee isn’t set yet. For more information, contact the PAL office at 586-2655 or go to the website at www.flaglercountypal.org.
Palm Coast Little League
Registration for fall ball for Palm Coast Little League is taking place now for players between the ages of 5 and 16.
All players must provide a birth certificate.
Cost is $30 for one player, $15 for a seecond player, $10 for a third player, and after that, registration is free. For more information, go to www.pcllonline.com.
Flagler Premier Soccer
Flagler Premier Soccer Club is holding open competitive tryouts 6-8 p.m. Sept. 13 and Sept. 15, at Indian Trails Sports Complex. Bring shin guards, water, and a ball. RSVP online at www.flaglerpremier soccer.com or call 313-1223.
Flagler County Youth Soccer Association
Registration for youth soccer players between 4 and 16 is under way. The fall season begins Sept. 10.
The registration fee is $80 and includes a uniform, a trophy/medal, insurance, and an end-of-the-season barbecue or pizza party.
