If you’ve ever been stuck inside, wondering what’s happening out on Flagler County’s waters, here’s your chance to take a look without even leaving your chair. The county has set up a series of live-streaming webcams along the Intracoastal.

The cameras are part of the Eyes on Navigation Project, sponsored by the Florida Inland Navigation District, and the county hopes the live view of bright waters and short-and-T-shirt clad vacationers canoeing and fishing will help lure visitors from frostier states.

The streams can be viewed online at the Tourist Development Council website, which also has links to detailed weather information for boaters, fishermen and surfers. The cameras stream video live, but do not record it for later viewing.

The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners will discuss the Eyes on Navigation Program at its upcoming meeting 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13.
