The following is an adapted press release from Flagler County:

The University of Florida Extension Service in Flagler County will offer a 12-week Strong Women Healthy Hearts Program, starting in August.

The program was developed by Tufts University and is a fun, hands-on way to make positive changes to help people eat better, move more and improve their general health.

The classes will meet twice a week for 12 weeks and focus on both nutrition and exercise.

All interested adults age 18 and older are invited to attend the information meeting 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at the Flagler County Extension office, 150 Sawgrass Road, Bunnell.

Pre-registration is required and will take place from Aug. 3 to Aug. 10. The class is limited to 20 participants. The program orientation will be held Aug. 16, and classes will start on Aug. 20.

The cost of the class is $45. For more information, call the Flagler County Extension office at 437-7464.
