Funeral services for Sgt. Frank Celico, of the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast.

There will be intermittent traffic interruptions associated with the services.

The eastbound lane of Cypress Point Parkway will be closed east to the entrance to City Hall beginning at 8 a.m. The westbound lane will remain open and access to businesses along the parkway will not be interrupted.

The funeral procession will follow a route that begins at the church, then turns north onto Belle Terre Parkway and then east onto Palm Coast Parkway. The procession will travel east on the parkway to Old Kings Road and then South on Old Kings Road to Craig Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

The procession is anticipated to be lengthy and motorists should avoid the procession route from noon until 1 p.m. Delays in traffic should also be expected.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office administrative offices along with the substations will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow personnel to attend the services.

Celico, 33, died suddenly Friday, Sept. 9. He joined the FCSO in 2000. He was a road deputy and was supervisor of the Biycle Unit at the time of his death.
