The October Palm Coast Entrepreneur Night brought more than 200 professionals together Oct. 30, at Europa Lounge & Bistro.

The event is a grassroots effort presented by Office Divvy and the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center to join a diverse group Palm Coast, Flagler County as well as other Central and Northern Florida startup founders, business people, aspiring entrepreneurs, investors and folks who provide services and support to entrepreneurs.

This month event featured two speakers: Beau Falgout, senior planner and economic development team leader for the city of Palm Coast; and Dr. Carlton Robinson, the director of entrepreneurial growth at the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce.

“My main focus is using entrepreneurs as a form of economic development,” Robinson said. “Entrepreneurs are the most important in the local economy. We have to ensure that whatever their ideas are — those visions that they have for small business — that as many of them are birthed as possible. Sometimes we have ideas and we never really push them to that next level. But if we do, we could have a local company that grows to 10 or 20 employees and is helping to support an entire community.”

The next Entrepreneur Night will be held 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27, at The Grand Club at Pine Lakes. There will be speed networking, free appetizers, door prizes and a cash bar.
