Entrepreneur Night, sponsored by Office Divvy and the Palm Coast Business Assistance Center, has launched an essay contest to announce, at every Entrepreneur Night event, the organization’s new Entrepreneur of the Month.

The group’s first pick, for June, is Mark “Tiki Tender” Woods.

A long-time bartender at The Golden Lion Café, Woods made his name in Flagler Beach and Palm Coast mixing drinks at restaurants and private parties. But, mostly, he established his presence online.

Through any social media outlet he could get his hands on, Woods attempted to reach residents. And before he knew it, he was having newspaper and magazine articles written about him. He had a clothing sponsorship. He was being featured on radio shows.

In his essay submittal to Entrepreneur Night, he wrote:

“When I hand people a business card and they ask me what my business is, I always reply with ‘My business is me.’ The same is true for any entrepreneur. You are your business!  How can you use social media to grow the most important brand you know? Engage, engage, engage. Ask your followers about their business. Share their successes.”

Most recently, Woods launched a private business of his own, Fun Coast Bartending, to teach the ropes to tenders-in-training and provide event-based bartending service.

The last Entrepreneur Night was May 29, at Europa Bar, Lounge & Bistro, in the European Village. To enter the contest for Entrepreneur of the Month, visit www.EntrepreneurNight.com.
