Don DeVogel
1946-2021
Donald Bert DeVogel, 74, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away peacefully on February 11, 2021, with his daughter by his side.
Mr. DeVogel was born Sept. 6, 1946 in Paterson, NJ to Bert and Anna May (Haycock) DeVogel.
Don spent his youth in Bloomfield, NJ and graduated from Bloomfield High School. The family spent summers enjoying their home at Lake Mohawk, NJ and the Montclair Beach Club.
Don went on to study at Rutgers University and earned his B.S. with High Honors from Bloomfield College. He was awarded a scholarship to study aboard the World Campus Afloat operated by Chapman University, California (1968) where he met his wife of 26 years, Nancy.
His career accomplishments include serving as President, Bioglan Pharma; Vice President, American Dermal; and International Marketing Manager, Pharmacia Pharmaceuticals. He incorporated his love of travel and adventure into his career.
Don loved the outdoors and had a passion for dogs, horses, boating, fishing, and marksmanship. Sharing these experiences with family was his greatest joy. He was a member of the Flagler Gun and Archery Club in Palm Coast, FL and Kempton Road Rod and Gun Club in Kempton, PA. Don’s trusted companion, Sage, had daily walks along the Intra Coastal Waterway.
He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren and appreciated each of their unique qualities.

Don is survived by his son, Brandon DeVogel and his wife (Tamara) of East Stroudsburg, PA, daughter Carol Lockett and her husband (Drew) of Daytona Beach, FL, his daughter Eva Danieli and her partner (Maureen) of West Long Branch, NJ and his son Stephen DeVogel and his wife (Lucy) of Lafayette, CO. Don is also survived by his three grandchildren; David Kinker, Valerie Chapman and Eric Lockett, two great grandchildren (Aubrey and Connor), by his ex-wife Nancy Nicholson DeVogel and by his beloved dog, Sage.
