Do you believe in Santa? Patients at Florida Hospital Flagler who believe were visited by the jolly fellow and a group of Miami Dolphin fans.

It is the 10th year that Fin Fins of Flagler have walked the halls of the hospital and handed out presents to patients.

“I think it was a wonderful, nice thing to do for patients,” said Mary Allsen, nursing supervisor. “I think it brought a tear for those who are stuck here.”

The Fin Fans were not alone in the effort. Dollar General and Ace Hardware in Flagler Beach contributed to the cause by supplying wrapping paper and bows.

The group also recently raised close to $1,000 for the Flagler Beach Junior Lifeguard program.

All the money the Fin Fans raise stays in Flagler County.

“We really help the community and that’s what makes us different than other football clubs,” said Rusty Place, club representative. For more on group, visit www.finfans.com.
