Deputies investigate suspected chop shop on Sawgrass Road in Bunnell

Law enforcement officers have recovered stolen tractors and trailers.

The following is a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office:

Flagler County Sheriff's Offiice deputies have recovered multiple stolen tractors and trailers, along with several seized items, at a suspected chop shop in Bunnell.

Flagler Sheriff’s detectives and crime-scene technicians executed a search warrant March 10 at a rented piece of property at 331 Sawgrass Road in Bunnell, near the county fairgrounds property, in reference to the dismantling and transportation of numerous commercial vehicle parts.

No arrests have been made at this time, but charges will follow.

The Florida Highway Patrol has assisted the Flagler County Sheriff's Office with identifying many commercial truck parts.

The investigation has included at least a dozen crime-scene technicians and detectives.

The property is under the control of Palm Coast residents Wilfredo Velazquez and Richard Espinosa.

More information will be released as it becomes available, Sheriff James L. Manfre said.
