Deputies believe they have recovered the body of Palm Coast resident Robert Barshied, who was reported missing on Sunday, Feb. 25.

Barshied was last seen leaving his residence on his bicycle. After an extensive search by the marine unit, deputies, Florida Fish and Wildlife officials and fire rescue, Barshied was located early on the morning of Monday, Feb. 26, in a marshy area of the Intracoastal Waterway.

No foul play is suspected.

“Not the outcome we were hoping for, but at least we can provide some closure to the family,” Sheriff Rick Staly said in a release. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.”
