Bunnell resident Todd Blanchard, 60 and a registered sex offender, was arrested on multiple felony drug charges the afternoon of Thursday, June 23, after deputies raided the trailer he lived in on County Road 302 and confiscated trafficking amounts of fentanyl.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, FCSO SWAT and Sheriff Rick Staly served the narcotics search warrant at 1455 County Road 302 after an undercover operation conducted by the SIU.

When SIU and SWAT arrived to the trailer, they ordered subjects to open the door and exit, then, when the subjects didn't comply, SWAT used tactical entry tools and flash bangs and opened the door.

Two subjects exited and were secured.

During the trailer search, detectives seized 6.6 grams of crack cocaine, 4.5 grams of fentanyl, various paraphernalia and $1,116 cash.

“This was a great job by all involved to get this pervert and poison peddling dirtbag off our streets,” Staly said. “This dirtbag has preyed on children, has a violent and lengthy criminal history and was trafficking poison in Flagler County. Not only was he found with deadly amounts of narcotics in his residence, he had enough Fentanyl to kill over 2,000 people. I’m glad this career criminal with over 100 charges and 55 convictions is back behind bars. Hopefully the judge keeps him there for a long time.”

Blanchard has a criminal history dating back to 1984 in Wisconsin, where he was charged with delivery of controlled substances. He’s been charged in Alabama for forgery, criminal impersonation, burglary, receiving stolen property, vehicle theft and drug paraphernalia.

Since 1991, Blanchard has also had 20 felony convictions, 33 misdemeanor convictions and an additional 135 charges in Florida. He was charged in 2011 in Flagler County with lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under the age of 16.

Deputies arrested Blanchard June 23 for trafficking fentanyl, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
