In a special meeting held Thursday, March 25, the Daytona State College District Board of Trustees and the Daytona State College Housing Corp. approved moving forward with plans for an on-campus student residence hall.

Projected to open in August 2022, this 252-bed facility will be located on the Daytona Beach Campus. Since 2007, the Daytona State College Foundation has owned, leased and operated off-campus housing for 110 student-athletes. The new facility will house approximately 170 student-athletes in addition to providing affordable opportunities for other students.

In 2019, DSC’s District Board of Trustees authorized the creation of the Daytona State College Housing Corporation, which will support the College by owning and operating the new facility.
