Cyclist killed in crash near Beverly Beach Camptown

A 60-year-old woman was killed on the night of July 22 as she attempted to cross Oceanshore Boulevard in Beverly Beach.

According to the report from the Florida Highway Patrol, Jacqueline Estelle Middleton, 60, of Pomona Park, was riding a bicycle across the northbound lane of Oceanshore Boulevard at about 9 p.m.

Meanwhile, Stephen Sills, 49, of Ontario, Canada, was driving a Ford Freestar north. According to the report, Sills was not able to see Middleton, and the front left of his Freestar struck her.

Middleton was pronounced dead on the scene. She was not wearing a helmet. Sills had no injuries.
