County marks Veterans Day

George Hanns, Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners, said Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Flagler County Veteran’s Day Ceremony, that he was proud Flagler County employs so many veterans.

The event was a time to honor those who have served their country both at home and overseas.

Participants included guest speaker Maj. Elizabeth Evans, of the Florida Army National Guard; American Legion Post 115; DAV Chapter 86; Italian American War Veterans; Jewish War Veterans Post 300; Marine Corps League 976; Military Officers Association of America; Military Order of the Purple Heart 808; VFW Posts 8696 and 5213; The Knights of Columbus 2264 Color Corps; The Flagler Palm Coast High School AFJROTC; FPC Formality Singers; Flagler County Girl Scouts of America and the Flagler County Veterans Service Office.
