County credit rating gets upgraded

Standard & Poor's Ratings Services has raised Flagler County's bond credit rating from an A+ to an AA-.

The increased rating will make the county eligible for loans only available to agencies with prime or high-grade ratings, and it may also help the county qualify for decreased interest rates, Flagler County spokesman Carl Laundrie said.
